It is advisable to buy bottled water along with tap water that is purified by ROs or other techniques. You should not drink water from slow moving streams, dams or lakes.
Inside the temple, footwear is not allowed and entry into the sanctum sanctorum is banned in all the temples. There are slight variations in the customs and codes of conduct and dress in temples. There are some temples in which entry to non-Hindus is prohibited. Shirts and pants for men are banned in some of them. Wherever you find them banned, men wear mundus and women saris, half-saris or long skirts.
Nudity is not permissible on any Kerala beach.
You must visit any of the authorized centres in case you wish to opt for Ayurvedic treatment.
In case you want to visit a wildlife sanctuary, it is mandatory to procure prior permission from the concerned authority of the sanctuary.
