Detailed Itinerary :
DAY 01: Arrival in Udaipur
Our company’s representative will meet you at the Dabok Airport, which is the closest airhead from Udaipur. After greeting you and giving his introduction, he will safely transfer you to the city hotel, together with your luggage.
On reaching the hotel, you will be surprised to see to a Royal welcome waiting for you at the hotel reception. In the night, enjoy a lavish dinner at the Shiv Niwas courtyard.
DAY 02: In Udaipur
The second day of your tour comes in with more excitement and leisure-relaxation. Have your choice of breakfast in the morning and then spend the whole day at leisure. With the marriage being held just on the next day, enjoy some last minute shopping in the markets. In the evening, there will be Mandhi ceremony, where people participate in singing traditional marriage songs. Enjoy your time at the function.
DAY 03: In Udaipur
This is the day, which you were waiting for. Today, you will be able to see all the traditional rituals and ceremonies of a perfect royal wedding at Udaipur. Get up in the morning and have your breakfast. Lunch will be either taken at the Promenade or at the Shiv Niwas Palace lawns. The men and the women will be dressed in the most traditional Rajasthani dress, with the men tying “safas” or pink color turbans on their head. There will be a royal palace, from where the entire procession begins which is accompanied with Dhols and Nagadas.
The procession will be lead by the groom, who is dressed in the royal dress and sits on a nicely decorated horse. The whole scene is fantastic and a lovely experience to the people who are seeing this whole tableau for the first time. The Palace bands welcome the procession at the boat-jetty in the Promenade.
Everyone, finally reaches Jagmandir, which is an island Palace on the Lake of Pichhola.
After reaching the house of the house of the bride, the Baarat (procession) is welcomed with garlands and sprinkling of attar and flowers. The bride is decorated in the most typical bridal costumes and looks very pretty. There is a continuous course of rituals going on one corner of the palace, followed by royal dinner at the other. Everybody is found to be enjoying their time in the party. Finally, after 7 circles of the holy fire by the groom and the bride, the couple is declared to be married.
At the end of everything, there is Vidai, where the groom takes the bride with him and the family members of the bride gets a bit emotional. Do not forget to take some lovely photographs of the entire scenario in your cameras.
DAY 04: Udaipur – Home
This is the day, when everybody leaves for their home. Pack your luggage and have your breakfast. Our company’s representative will make sure that you are transferred to the airport safely, where you can catch your flight for the onward journey.
